The new warehouse in Säffle is located in Guttane and covers an area of approximately 7,800 square meters. According to the company, the building has been constructed according to Biltema's latest store concept, which includes the chain's own café operations.
The establishment is estimated to create around 30 new jobs locally.
"It feels very exciting to open in Säffle. We want to be part of the local retail offering and make it easier for both residents and visitors in the area to shop with us," says Johan Gerdevåg, Marketing Manager at Biltema.
Growing in the Nordics
The Säffle store is part of the company's ongoing establishment strategy in the Nordics, where the retail chain currently operates 172 warehouses. Earlier in March, Biltema also inaugurated its updated and renovated warehouse in Luleå.
In connection with the inauguration in Norrbotten, the company also provided information regarding the operations in Karlstad, where a reopening is planned for next year.
The warehouse in Karlstad was permanently closed in December 2025 to make way for a new construction on the same plot. The process received a lot of attention as the closure led to approximately 60 employees being dismissed with immediate effect, after negotiations between the company management and the trade unions Handels and Unionen were concluded without a solution. The new warehouse in Karlstad is expected to open its doors in 2027.
