17 Hours On The Street – Ahead Of Power's Comeback

"No one else can".

When the clock struck 06.00 this morning, the doors opened to Power's new address at Kungsgatan 27 in Stockholm. By then, eager customers had already spent the night outside on the street. With a queue of almost a kilometer, the electronics chain Power is opening a new chapter in the inner city. To handle the rush, the company had called in 90 extra employees to help the company meet the customers who had been waiting all night.

The queue stretched from the store entrance down to Norrlandsgatan and continued another 200 meters up Malmskillnadsgatan. Those who were first on site began their wait as early as 1 PM on Wednesday, queuing for a total of 17 hours.

In the morning, customers were met with price reductions on over 300 products, including an iPhone 17 offered at half price.

Power usually succeeds in generating interest around its openings through various types of offers. This time, the electronics chain has, for example, chosen to collaborate with the logistics company Bring. During the opening weekend, they offer free home delivery to customers who purchase bulky goods.

Store Manager Ludvig Sjögren was on site in the newly renovated premises to welcome the first customers into the store, and he noted that the morning turned out exactly as intense as they had prepared for.

No one but Power can do openings like these! We have fun together and we work hard to give customers the absolute best service and offers on the market. This is just the beginning, now we go for it. All Stockholmers are welcome to come in and experience an eldorado of electronics in the middle of the city, says Ludvig Sjögren.

The Chain's Continued Expansion

Magnus Kreuger, CEO of Power Sweden, was also on site during the morning hours. He sees the customer influx on Kungsgatan as a confirmation of the company's current position in the market, especially after the chain recently achieved profitability:

This is a fantastic show of strength, I am very proud of the entire organization. We have managed to turn Power Sweden into a profit and with successful openings like these in important locations, we will further strengthen our position in the market going forward, says Magnus Kreuger.

The establishment on Kungsgatan is Power's 29th store in Sweden. In the next five years, the company plans to continue its expansion by opening another 30 or so new department stores around the country.
