The capital injection will be used to finance Kustom's international expansion in Europe and to continue developing the company's product offerings.
In connection with the investment, the two companies are initiating a strategic collaboration. Practically, this means that Kustom's e-commerce merchants will be able to offer Resurs Bank's corporate invoices in their checkout, and at the same time gain access to the bank's corporate loans. Resurs Bank, in turn, will be able to offer Kustom's checkout solution to its affiliated merchants.
In 2025, we've been tweaking and testing the machinery – now we're shifting into high gear. This includes the launch of our own, new products – as well as product development in collaboration with Resurs Bank, says Kamjar Hajabdolahi, CEO of Kustom.
Magnus Fredin, CEO of Resurs Bank, also comments on the new deal and what it means for their customers.
Through our strategic partnership with Kustom, we can now offer a checkout to our customers, which strengthens our competitiveness and accelerates our strategic transformation, says Magnus Fredin.
Kustom was established as an independent company in October 2024 after an investor collective acquired Klarna Checkout. During 2025, a technical migration was carried out where over 24,000 merchants were moved to a new platform with the payment provider Stripe at its core.
The investment follows closely on the heels of several other product launches from the checkout company. As Ehandel reported last week, Kustom recently rolled out the analytics tool Insight Dashboards. In addition to this, the company has also launched a payment solution for physical retail in the form of Kustom Mobile Point of Sale.
