This autumn, Granngården will open its 103rd store, located in Partille. The decision comes after the chain has focused primarily on managing its existing network of retail locations for several years. The new store is planned to accommodate the entire range for cultivation and animals, as well as offer additional services such as dog grooming.
Granngården is stronger than ever. We have a clear offering, efficient working methods and a range that is appreciated by both new and existing customers. As we now take the next step in our development, we are doing so selectively and with a strong focus on long-term business benefits, both for us and our suppliers, says André Fredriksson, Property Manager at Granngården.
Moving to Meet Customers
In addition to the new opening in Partille, the company is relocating existing stores.
In Helsingborg, the business will move during the year to a location with more space for outdoor markets and updated parking facilities. A move is also taking place in Arboga to new premises, a change scheduled for spring 2027.
Whether it's new establishments or renovations, the goal is the same: to get closer to our customers and meet their actual needs even better, says André Fredriksson.
Figures from the Crisis Year
The background to the previous silence is Tietoevry. In January 2024, Granngården's IT supplier was hit by a data attack that knocked out the chain's digital infrastructure. This had consequences for the company's finances.
The annual report for 2024 shows that turnover decreased to SEK 2.4 billion. Operating profit simultaneously turned into a loss and landed at SEK -46.8 million. Figures for 2025 have not yet been made public.
